I know, I know.
But now it has bar tabe and cable outers!
I might need to invest in a slightly shorter stem. I was hoping it'd be easy to swap from the Midges to the Marys (hence the cables running outside of the bar tape), though the reach is a little longer with these.
Still, it's fucking awesome fun! Will post a proper pic on the 29er thread soon.

Found an old pic of my first fixed bike, which I humbly offer up here. In hindsight, it may have been a *little *too small for me, but it did a year's commuting without skipping a beat and got me into the whole fixed gear thing, so it served a purpose.

Did you need an oxygen tank to breath up there. Useful for looking over the top of buses, I suppose.

again. this is not a current project. if you want to "show off", go to pedalroom.
the idea behind these thread is to track ongoing projects, get advice from people, and have a thread that commemorates that process.
its quite a nice hiphop conversion, but not the above..

disclaimer: im no forum police or anything, but find these threads a waste of cyberspace
does one get a popup like now with the classifieds with the rules and some possible interesting wanted threads when you want to start a cp thread with something along the lines of my humble opinion above?
i guess not and i should get this to the tips and suggestions thread..

I can see why it was criticized... but I think its fricking awesome. Close ups on how you did it? Is it just paint?
-
• #466
Does this really count as a current project?
-
• #467
if you report it it gets merged with readers wives anti-porn.
harsh but fair.
i have to say, totally not my cuppa, but appreciate the workmanship that went into the painting.

thats not paint though. this is printed vinyl with a clear cat on top. clear coat shrunk the vinyl in places(can see around the lugs), but nothing too bad..

Does this really count as a current project?
sort of yes, as i still have to sort out the headset bearings, as theyre different top and bottom for some reason...

Ignore the crap stem and bars, I'm just trying something different out
I built the bike up to look ugly, never actually rode it like that.
