Good news, the guy who unwittingly bought the bike from the bike thief saw one of my flyers at the station and brought it back. Interestingly the lock was intact, which was a very hefty chain lock but with a 4-digit combination, so the thief must have sat in broad daylight working methodically through all possible combinations. Thanks to anyone who was looking out for it.
