I've been to that birds of prey centre and done the owl experience - it's amazing, they've got a lovely collection of birds, vast majority seem to genuinely be rescue/captivity birds so you don't feel bad and the setting is real nice. DEFINITELY worth calling up in advance and arranging a trip based around when they have young birds fledging because a) they're super fucking cute and b) can be handled much easier (and without the stress/negative impact on the birds) than adult birds which is what you really want, isn't it? Been twice with my girlfriend and first time there were no younguns but second time round we got to hold, stroke and basically coo over a baby kestrel and a baby red faced scops owl. That's the goodness right there.

So, uh, yeah, enjoy the owls.
