I wouldn't want to put anything longer than a 445mm fork on that. A 470mm 29er fork would feel terrible.

but there is a lot of gap currently between the top of the tyre the bottom of the fork
if i were to put a 26" fork sure that would lower the head angle making it more twitchy
admittedly the last couple of nights i have been thinking more about the handling and it feels pretty good, i think it's just the suspension that makes it feel slighly more wobbly less acurate
