I wanna add a front basket to my Vigorelli and was looking at the Copenhagen basket/bar ( http://copenhagenparts.com/products/bike-porter). However i'm worried about the stress it's going to place on my carbon forks and Corima (4 spoke). I know it's a kinda preposterous idea (hence me posting it in this thread) but if anyone has any thoughts on whether this is realistic I'd like to hear them.

I wouldn't worry about it, I gave your MASH some stick, as well as my Corima.
Alu steerer should be fine.

been lurking this forum for a while, figured I'd post my semi-recent build.
questions for the critics:
-risers + slammed stem? can't slam the stem any further without the drops hitting the downtube
-de-sticker ellipse? -

^^ Peal + airwings and that'd be perfs imo

risers + slammed stem
Looks pretty good already. Quill stems don't look good slammed right down, and the expander is probably as far down the fork steerer as it should safely be. Maybe some shallower drops to avoid the unwanted downtube interface issue?

"I was trying to make a mid-life crisis joke, but in light of
what happenedyou being way way way past that, that was probably a bit uncalled for.Have you documented what happened in your crash for public consumption yet? I'd quite like to read about it."
It's on here somewhere... can't be arsed to search.

^Errrrr, pardon me for sticking my nose in where the ancient shouldn't go, but the longer the fork rake, the slower the handling....
Surely to opposite is true!
Keeping the same a2c but increasing rake you have twitcher handling.
That's why track forks have less rake, you go fast and mostly turn left.

Where's tester when you need him!
If I remember, right, it was debated as you're saying. -

shorter rake forks make it more stable at higher speeds but twitchier at lower speeds e.g. filtering traffic

Have you considered cycle training?
