Having just come back from Stockholm I was reminded of this.
Ladies - Reckon we get a crew together for 2014??!!I met Simona from http://bavabici.com/ and she was saying that there are very few ladies who ride-ride, not just for commuting.
Weird, given that Stockholm is very bike friendly and there are lots of ladies who do get on bikes.Oh Yay! Yes, please come!!!
Maybe I can fix so that the Un Giro Di Sporco Sud will be held around the same time as the Eurovision! Please come and join me in the UGDSS! This year I was the only girl. Which meant that I won the award for "Best Female", but considering it was on WO it didn't feel as such an accomplishment. (But I won a Chrome bag! Yay!!! Use it every day! Love it!)
Possibly the UGDSS isn't as famous as I would wish, so I post a link to the movie from 2010.

Couldn't find the movie from the race in 2012, but it was an even better race! Beautiful weather, wonderful pistas, lovely company and loads of sweet fixies!Cooooome! Joooooin meeee!

Hi, I'm Hayley. Road and track rider... although about to give CX and BMX a go too (just another excuse to buy another bike). Always up for meeting other girls on two wheels. I currently live West of London and always up for running some rides 'in the country'.

Oh hai! Hayley! I'm going to the British Cycling BMX girls/ladies taster session at Burgess Park in a couple of weeks - are you?
Have been wanting to try BMX for ages now and v excite about this (I should start a thread actually)

Yes I am!!
There has been much deliberation of what to wear between the lot of us that are going as we're all roadies/trackies - it's hard to not put the lycra on!

Hi, I'm a boy, sorry about that.
Re: the Bmx attire, long sleeves and covered legs might be mandatory at Bmx events. Some tracks can be very abrasive (I recently put a 6" graze on my forearm despite full sleeves when I came off at royston)
Enjoy the racing
(Sorry if it's rude for boys to post here)
Edit - wear long stuff

Thanks!
I was thinking skinny jeans and most likely a long sleeve winter jersey/jacket. Hoping not to put 6" gash in my leg first time round ;)
-

I'm holding out for a 6" gash 2nd lap ; )
(and hoping rain doesn't stop play)
