Not a Pinarello - no pantographing of any kind to suggest such. Suggest you change thread title.

Well ive been told its a pinarello, i wondered whether it is a specific/custom model for export as the detailing on the frame is consistent with some other Pinarellos ive seen...

If I tell you its a DeLorean is it a DeLorean? If I tell you it goes back to the future at 88mph does that mean it does time travel?
-
• #13
It does look like a decent frame but I think optimistic pricing since there is no guarantee that it is a Pinarello and we dont know what quality tubing it is. Have you tried to find out grade of tubing? do you know the weight of the frame and forks?

Is there a serial number?

I'd be interested in the frame if it were being sold as a generic track frame at generic track frame prices, looks nice enough.
As said before though, doubtful it's a Pina'

are you sure its not 55 rather than 54 ctc if it has 55 stamped all over it?
I'm in the same boat as mark^

photos with 700cc wheels with 20mm tyres, theres another 5mm left in the rear dropouts

I understand that without verification of the frambuilder/pinarello pantographs its fair to doubt its authenticity, however, as mentioned in OP, it was imported by a company which confirms that it has only ever imported Pinas. Anyway if nobody is interested at this price i may drop the price at some point, or put it up on ebay. thanks for all the feedback people. Regarding size, the seatube is about 54.5cm and the top is 54 - i think the '55' stamping must be referring to something else

The Pinarellos of this era have small 'fleur dis lis' style cutouts on the lugs and GPT stamped on the top of the flattened seatstays. Not a Pina.

no 26mm is the clamp size for the bars - it is 1inch (the vertical part)

Dibs rear wheel?
Hi all,
Sold Pinarello track frameset
The decals and paintjob are from a small Somerset cycling club 'Camelot VC', i got in touch with them and the rider whose frame it was said that it was imported for her from Italy by Phil Griffiths. So i got in touch with his company http://www.yellow-limited.com/ who said that it must be a Pinarello as they were the only frames they imported. I dont know what tubeset the frame is made from but i would guess it was some sort of Columbus as its pretty light. Its got Campagnolo dropouts front and rear, fastback seatstays, bottom bracket cutouts and heartshaped lug cutouts.
Drilled for front brake.
No dents or dings, the paintwork has a few chips and scratches, the chrome on the forks is flaking slightly near the crown.
Seat tube c-t-c: 54cm
Top tube c-t-c: 54cm
Rear spacing 120
front spacing 100
Sold frameset, Suntour headset, Campagnolo Record BB (109mm) and unmarked seatpost 27.2mm
**Sold SR Royal Track Crankset 165mm with 49t chainring **
In good condition, a few little scratches, would benefit from a thorough clean.
**£10 Cinelli 68-40 Tour 26.4mm clamp **
Apparently quite rare but they are in quite bad nick, scratched heavily around clamp area http://velobase.com/ViewComponent.aspx?ID=8df40ca2-9d33-4028-8417-cd471a7b8fa9&Enum=112
** SOLD**
the grips have two little rips
£20 140mm Cinelli Milano quill stem 26mm clamp
good condition, 1 or 2 little scratches, stem bolt has a bit of rust on the top, none on stem though
this stem in 14cm http://www.pelotonstore.com/szilvi06.10/cinelligi-1371648439-22081.jpg (not my photo, i wasnt able to focus on the logo on mine with my rubbish camera)
**Wheelset £155 - Front - Campagnolo Lambda Strada 28h clincher and unmarked front low flange hub
Sorry for the bad photos, i'll try and borrow a better camera and upload some more. And if the prices are way out let me know and i'll amend them. Collection in Brixton, or will post at a cost
Cheers, George
