Surprisingly, given we pass the highest point of the north downs, there aren't many wide open vistas. The lanes are mostly beautiful tree tunnels, dark and atmospheric.
It also has 2 of my favourite stretches of all the TNRC route. The rolling road from Leith to Coldharbour, and the flat-out spin on the final run to the pub.
