ugh. Crashy crashy. How can you crash in a rotation exercise FFS?

My decision to avoid the intermediates today seems like a good one, then.

I wasn't so lucky! Didn't see what caused it, just saw someone go down 2 in front but didn't quite manage to swerve around his bike as it skidded down so I went straight over the top. Fortunately just cuts and bruises all round!

Ouch. There were no incidents in the induction or the part of the beginners session I saw.

Did someone take out the coach as well?

Bit of a tumble on the intermediates today. I managed to avoid it with a sick whip skid. That's the last time I sandbag rotations, I feel much safer in the faster group with more experienced riders.

Whip skids are what its about. Braaaaap.

I must a been a few riders behind you, I managed to get around it though. I spoke to one of the guys that went down afterwards, he said that the line was concertinaing loads and he ended up going into the back of the rider in front.

It seems to me that if people are surging in a line, then they're not intermediate riders.

Yeah that was the guy that went down first up. The line did seem to be slowing a lot into the corners though.

Sorry if this is answered somewhere else but do all the hire bikes at HH have approximately the same gearing and if so does anyone know roughly what it is?

80-86 GI on the adult bikes I think.

Haven't been all year and I think my foot's ok to give it a go so I might hit up the beginners for a session to see how I get on fitness wise

Was good that they actually checked the induction cards today. Unfortunately a few people who had genuinely been to the required sessions no longer carried their cards as they'd never been checked before.

Not too fast today in inters but maybe I'm just getting fitter..
Good too meet all the other forum peeps,

Few sketchy bits of rotation, people drifting into the middle from both lines and touching pedals..

Thought I was going to get totally taken out at one point.. but they both stayed up..
