How many bouncers are allowed ?
-
• #3103
Did Monty piss on bouncers or did they simply walk into the stream of their own accord?
-
• #3104
From what I hear - a pal knows the club in question - the doorway was below the street level and he was pissing on them from above.

Good old Monty!

That wanker Vaughan has just talked up Cook and Trott so much that they're both bound to be out in the next couple of overs. Cunt.

Is anyone watching this? Is the batting as bad as the score (and Boycs on TMS) suggests?
-
• #3113
Probably

I got to the pub post-Root wicket but pre-lunch. I felt that Cook should have known better than to pad away the ball what got him and that Trott was trying to play too many balls at the time. It looked like a decent one that got him but I expect better, really.
Sadly by the time KP went I was ears deep in a trough of G&T.
At no stage would I have described the Bogan bowling as anything more than adequate. Our bats should have done better.

Yup crap batting to average bowling...
Disapoint -
• #3116
poor from England but Oz putting the pressure on

• #3117
Going to be skittled here.
Maybe a bit of complacency from England early on now the ashes are retained, but the bowling later on has been very good, or at least combined with the pitch has made batting tougher than the TMS lot are leading us to believe. All championship matches 1st innings scores on this ground this season have been low.

Nice little cameo from Swann (to some average bowling)

• #3119
^^true have to wait to see what Australia get i just hope that there isnt a lackadaisical approach because the ashes are already retained.

Jim Maxwell from tms "I've been out to the middle at stumps and had a look at the pitch. England seem to have got themselves in a hole but I can't see a hole in the pitch. I asked Graham Gooch on the way out if Nathan Lyon's bowled well, and he said he's not turned one all day and bowled slow-medium pacers! Certainly there is nothing looking at this pitch to suggest you cannot get a big score in it."
doesn't sound good news :(

I wouldn't believe either of those chumps.
Reckon Aus will get a lead of around 80-100 if they bat sensibly.

Seems as though England made economical but uninspiring bowling look good.
More scoreboard pressure than an attack. 7 or 8 very tame wickets. Maybe Australia sussed them on this one.
For all of England's talent, their tactics are a bit crap sometimes. Cook was unlucky, but Trott, Kevin, Bell, Prior and Broad just gave it away. Trott getting out at 49 like that was the worst.
Losing this one would make the final one at the Oval a biggie though, which would be nice.

Good start for England!
Set up for a close test. -

I don't see the Aussie tail adding too many runs if / when Rogers gets out.
Please can someone photo shop a pic of Monty pissing on Bouncer from Neighbours please?
