Ahh! very interested, what is the weight of frame and fork Howard, can't seem to find it online.
Also is this the Geo?
-
• #3
Yeah Modern CAAD8 geo will do. It's also the same as the six13
Weight is light-as. I think the CAAD7 frame is actually the lightest CAAD, but this one has a rather porky ultra fork. But the package together is light enough to build it up sub 7kg.

Seems like there's a few nice 'dales floating around here recently, doesn't need to be said but this would make a great little project.

Sorely tempted but would probably want a different fork for both weight and another 1-2cm of steerer. Might go home an play with a tape measure and try to convince myself it will work but probably out.
glws.
Edit: Unless you want to split frame and fork, which is obviously unlikely.

Hello all. First time/long time, etc etc. Just got into cycling after a brief flirtation at Uni...
Always promised myself a Cannondale when my Dad's mate swished by on his fancy red mtb when I was about 11 years old. I'm 5'8", 75kgish - I know this is massively subjective, but would this frame suit? What height are you Howard? Taverymuch.
*Can't PM as I'm in the nursery...

Why couldn't this be bigger slightly.

Taba - I don't think parting it out would work. But it would look pretty good with an EC90...

I'm 5.8 - 31" inseam with a short torso. Fitted me well - always nice to have the stem slammed at 0 degree and still be super comfy.

Any chance I could come and give it a look Howard? As I said, I'm new here so can't PM - Is it possible for you to PM me?
Also stumbled upon your CaadX - needing a steed for a supported tour (Rotterdam - Istanbul) that I've signed up for in early Sept, and the bike I was intending to go with has ended up not working out as hoped. I might be up for taking both off you...

That is awesome, glad it's gone, because I'd buy it, not that I need it, just because it's so cheap.

Nah - if it was the bb30 version with the time full carbon fork then maybe. I haven't seen one of these go for more than £210 on eBay.
Bah.
I love this frameset. It suited me. Had loads of complements whilst on it. Rides really, really nicely. Awesome Cannondale / Saeco colourway.
And Saeco make coffee machines. What's not to love?
But I have to sell it. Why? Because I always opted to ride this, and not the bike on which I have a power meter, which is just plain stupid.
I paid £180 for it and I'd like that back please for the frameset, headset and seatpost clamp.
Condition: very, very good. No chips in paintwork.
Two things of note:
Other things you should know:
Collect it from Paddington before I change my mind.
