    *so far

  • What about net spend?

    (in before Chalfie)

  • Well, very shortly their net spend will be looking very healthy..

  • can anyone enlighten me to a quote i've read on bleacher report

" i can't wait for the transfer rules to change next season to stop all these greedy players jumping ship "

is it all part of FFP or are contracts being changed from next season ?

i am not aware of this ?

  • No idea what it is but I expect it will become just another law to be broken by the wealthy clubs

Relying on a US centric site for accurate commentary of European transfer rules? Dicki, you should know better.

  • Rules are there to be broken and played with. FFP will be no different.

it was an asian sounding guy supporting manure on a us centric site
    what could possibly go wrong

    ok i see your point

  • Sadly dicki, my fellow countrymen do not understand how completely fucked governance of the game is in Europe. The NFL, NBA and MLB look amazingly competent compared to FIFA and UEFA.

Then again, so do those boyscout troops that need helicoptering off of Ben Nevis every year.

  • i'll take 1 antonio reyes
    goes to checkout
    inputs credit card number clicks

    now for a goalkeeper

anyone fancy setting up a team ? liverton united / manchester cited / woolwich hotspurs ?

    you mean the SAS?

  • Shearer and Sutton?

  • it's sturridge and suarez now mike

  • Not sturridge and shelvey?

  • loaned out / sold to swansea mate i believe
he made his first appearance in the uefa cup game this week

man of the match performance and set up a couple of goals

  • well maybe that last sentence is a bit of a whopper

  • He did well. Clearly moved to a bigger club for European experience.

  • Biggest club in the country at present.

    Love the last line

"My record shows that I'm not the kind of player who wants to change clubs every season," Suárez says. No, this would be his fourth transfer in eight years. So, to clarify, every other season. That kind of player.

  • This Luis Suarez saga is so boring but... From the BBC website.....

However, Professional Footballers' Association chief executive Gordon Taylor explained there is no clause in the player's deal that means Liverpool have to sell him if a club offers more than £40m.
"If there is a minimum offer of £40m then the parties will discuss things but it does not say the club has to sell," said Taylor.
"There is a 'good faith' clause in relation to serious discussions, but I can't say it is a cast-iron buy-out clause."

Serious question for the layer types. How can a contract be worded so ambigoulsly that on one is able to really understand what it means?
Seems to be like it is all just playing around with words. When you sign a contract is it not in your best interests to make sure every word in it is understood?

  • lawyers innit

    tsk

  • paid by the word probably, thus get as much spiel in the contract as possible
    $£$£$£$£$£$£$$

    #worsethanestateagents#

  • yep.
Come on Clive, give us an example of a sentence that no one could possibly understand.
