Chrome Metropolis bag - Wet Inside

Posted on
  • I tried my new bag out this morning for a nice ride through the pouring rain we had this morning. Most my stuff stayed bone dry except for one of the bottom corners of the liner part that was quite wet. I opened up the inside and checked the stitching on the liner in the corner where it all got wet and where it should be double stitched the liner is cut so there is only one line of stitching holding the corner together.

I've googled faulty chrome bags and can't find a thing, seems like they're that good. Just wondering if anyone has ever had a problem with these before.

  • Ive never had that with mine, as its a floating liner so the bag can get soaked but the contents stay dry. And mind had ben proper soaked in Glasgow!

  • Send them an email, I've got a citizen and a metropolis (old) and both are really good at keeping things dry

  • I thought as much. I'm guessing mines either faulty or was so wet I dripped in it when I opened it up

  • I know a few people with Chrome bags and I own a Metropolis myself, all keep everything bone dry no matter how heavy the rain is. I'd say it's definitely a defect bag if the contents in the liner are wet too. One thing to be careful of is how the corners fold, I had one protruding slightly and water started to make it's way in but once tucked in it stayed dry inside.
