I DAS'd three guys cruising together on their fixies past the bmx track at platt fields last week. No skid was done.

A guy in roadie overshoes on deansgate on a grey fixed skidded without prompting, chapeau.

Dude on a black fixeh going down Hart road off Wilbraham road. I DAS'd you then said hello as I overtook on my polo bike, I then had to pedal like a bastard for another mile as overtaking people on a polo bike is rarely a good idea.

I was ok with a Travel lodge but apparently this isn't good enough.

Try airbnb, you'll likely get someone's flat for the price of a hotel, the palace is quite nice for a bit of old school glamour (even if it is a bit rough around the edges) and rooms are fairly reasonable.

I've seen a guy on beech road with one that looks like it's used as a winter trainer. Doing it right.

Some dude pushing a brakeless fixed with no foot retention around while clothes shopping in the basement of the Arndale TKmaxx on friday... He didn't look like the typical poseur and the bike looked quite nice (barring lack of foot retention), but I had so many questions spinning round my head.
