Oh No - It's another feckin Dolan

Sorry chaps, I know there a few of these on here at the moment, but I finally have started putting together my first build after about 18 months of research, mainly on here, and getting all the parts together. This is going to be a high speed commuter.

I currently have:
1 Dolan Pre Cursa Frame and Forks courtesy of Dolan

I also got a cane creek cross top lever from Hamster but the damn thing doesn’t fit my bars because the idiots at Cane Creek call their levers 26mm but they actually don’t fit a 26mm bar. Retards.

Bike was due to be operational yesterday when I got the brake lever but the damn thing doesn’t fit so now I am waiting for Planet X to deliver me some Tektro ones that actually are 26mm.

Anyway, I have everthing else assembled, and wrapped one side of the bars to see what the tape looked like.

Quite pleased so far. Weighs in at around 8.6kg, but admittedly this was on bathroom scales so not sure how accurate this is. Now thinking I need to get a proper leather saddle, but the spoon will have to do for now.

Picture attached. Can’t wait to get her lit up till fuck.

looks nice. i'd be inclined to remove some/all of the decals (stealth mode)

Cheers man. Apparently the Dolan decals are a pain to remove.
Might take the decals off the rims but I promised varno I would give him a bit of coverage in Dublin so need to keep them on for a while!

Not decals. Lacquered paint. You gotta go all surgical on them, or tape, anything aggressive starts to scratch the black paint, which is hardly resilient.

Just a word of caution with the base bar, 26mm is the clamp diameter not a guarantee of standardised internal measurement.

Afaik those base bars have a weird sizing which only fits the vision tt levers.
