I found an antler and it has a pungent smell. Does any one know of any way to get rid of this smell?
So far I've poured boiling hot water of them scrubbed them and sanded them lightly. Also today I let them soak in water with detergent and then added disinfectant to them in the bath. As I was letting some water run off some sort of liquid started to seep out the end of the antler where it had fallen off.
Any sort of information could be helpful. I want to keep them inside and use them as a coat hanger.
