I've got a front rack on my bike. It's certainly not made for a rack as it's quite racy geo, but it works a treat when the rack is empty and ok when it's packed. I think it's well worth having a less than ideal ride when fully loaded if you can't get an ideal frame. It's better to have a rack you can load, than no rack, whatever the handling. Especially if it's only getting home from the shop.
