Good luck everyone. It's an achievement in itself to get to the starting line

I'll be there by 6:30 to leave by 7:30, but rather ride with other the first 100-200km.
But big chance I won't get my brevet card, I'm still going to do it without it.

Well, fuck.
Look like it's too late, was at work all days and haven't realised I need to register today rather than tomorrow.
email send to the organiser.
They lost my application last time - I turned up and they had no record whatsoever of my entry (although the cheque was cashed) but they sorted me out on the day.
I'm sure it'll be fine and they'll be very helpful.
Good luck to everyone taking part!

As long as you have something to collect the stamps/times on I'm sure it'll count.

That's very reassuring, thank you.
I lost the keys for my wheels, which mean I'll have to repair the inner tube while it's still in the bicycle.
Spend an hour looking at the tyres making sure there's no hidden debris in it to make sure I don't punctured.
Whoop, I said the magic word.
See you all tomorrow!

You'll be fine ed. I noticed your bag hadn't been collected and did wonder.
I worked at registration all day today, there were still ~50 or so people who hadn't come in by the time I left at 7.30pm (10 or so people came in after the 5pm deadline, it wasn't a problem at all). Some are definite DNSes but many are just held up by various things (flights, trains, breakdowns, etc). Just ask at the Inquiries desk (or any volunteer) and have you rider number () and some ID ready for when you register.
If you want breakfast there (it will be available in the morning) then I'd try and have a bit more time than an hour if you need to sort out registration and drop bags; although starting in a later group wouldn't be a problem (you won't get extra time at the end though).
If you wanted a bag drop at anywhere relatively South then you'll probably be shit out of luck as that van has gone. The van for Edinburgh/Moffat (and maybe Brampton) hasn't left yet, getting there at 6am would put you in with a chance of getting bag drop stuff in.
Bonne route all.
(If anyone finishes after ~9pm Thursday then I'll be there somewhere although I may be on cleaning duty...)

Saw some of the entry numbers heading North this morning on our Sunday Ride through Epping, and wondered "could that really be the LEL ride?". Good luck to all, for this mind boggling ride....

I saw them pass through Roydon, the route coincided with the London to Cambridge at that point. I was fixing bikes at a refreshment stop, a girl waiting to have something done to her bike said to another rider "some riders ride to Cambridge and then back again", to gasps of disbelief.
I was fixing a french LEL riders bike, he had bust a gear cable. When I told the people how far this guy was going to ride they just fell silent. Sadly his english wasn't very good, so I don't think he understood what I said. Once his bike was sorted everyone at the refreshment stop lined up and clapped as he left.
Good luck everyone! -
