So this has been a decision thats taken a long long time to make.
A little back story. This frame was custom built for my back in around 1989 by Francois Du Toit (http://www.dutoitcycles.co.za/). He was trained by master frame builder at Lejeune in France.
I was racing as an under 17 school boy then. I used the frame for about 18mths, winning many events including a few provincial titles. I then changed to a Columbus SL Viner as I wanted something a bit smaller. I sold the frame to a good friend who hardly used it and it went into his loft at some point. A few years ago my brother found out he still had it and I got it back from him. So it has some sentimental value.
So I built it up as a "fixie" but I never got into riding it. It was too big for me back in 1989 and still to big for me now. Even at 6'3" I prefer riding a 58cm frame. :-)
It's sat in my dinning room for over a year now. So its time to let it go.
This is what is on offer:
531c frame and fork (un-drilled)
Shimano headset and BB (loose bearing square taper)
Seat tube: 64cm CTT
Top tube: 59cm CTC
Head tube: 23cm
Paint has got scrapes but not dents. The fork is not the original fork I got with the frame. That was a very close clearance aero fork that could only use 18 or 20mm tubs with and so the fork got swapped out for more standard track that 21mm tubs would clear the fork crown.
Frame is no longer available. I made a trade with a fellow forum member.
Fork and headset now available
I also have a "like new" 1 inch Deda Black Force carbon road fork (very rare to find with an un-cut steerer today) and M-Part Headset that I used on it when I built it up recently. Used for 30 miles, if that.
Price: £120 (won't sell it until the frame has sold as the buyer might want it)
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
Tips:
Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----
To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
Embed images by entering: ![](https://www.google.co.uk/images/srpr/logo4w.png) That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot
> Quote text by starting lines with >
Mention another user by @username
For syntax highlighting, surround the code block with three backticks:
```
Your code goes here
```
Just like Github, a blank line must precede a code block.
If you upload more than 5 files we will display all attachments as thumbnails.
