They don't mistake anything for anything. Shimano brakes are the best. Pretty much every brake test conducted agrees with me. As for fan boy, if there was something better, I'd be using it. I don't have shares in their company. I don't have Shimano stickers on my helmet.

Which is why mine were tested next to them, and found to be lighter, stiffer, more powerfaul, and have equal modulation.
Even beat shimano in the ugly stakes which is no mean feat.
