Don't like it... Exactly how "cheapish" are we talking about?
349$ for black or white
379$ for polished
More info: http://aventonbikes.com/track/
Only that it comes with Alu fork.
This probably is where you can get it: http://www.aventonbikeskorea.com/main/index
I red somewhere that they are avaliable from citygrounds.com too. Prices are exactly like the ones I listed above. -

Zipp 3000 is such a beautiful wheel especially for a tight steel track frame!
-

doesn't look too bad for 300 eur, that fork isnt totally awful
Zipp's are great but tub's really put me off

Rideden them?
I've done a fair few city miles and 5 longer rides with a tubular front, no problems at all. -

^^ isn't that the nature of punctures though?
I mean, they're not a problem until they happen.
:]

Carry a spare tub and/or some sealant.
If you're riding sealed tubs the chances of you getting a puncture are considerably lower anyway.

I know.

Its just the thought if getting a flat that I CBA with... too much hassle
-
• #29192
But tim, changing a tub can take less time than a tight clincher.
-
• #29193
...but costs 30 rather than 3 quid.
-
• #29194
Yes unless you learn how to repair them :)
-
• #29195
I'm with you on convenience though. It's different, but not so much worse than a clincher.
-
• #29196
Yes unless you learn how to repair them :)
You have to be fucking kidding.
:D
-
• #29197
I mean I wouldn't commute daily on them but I've considered a set for longer rides and track, then I'd definitely have to learn how to repair them myself :)

reposting cos I kinda miss this setup...
It's a fine looking bike, but a chain would be good.
