I was out for a ride (fixed) earlier and about 5 miles in when I was pulling out of a junction, accelerating hard it felt like my chain slipped. It felt like the pedals suddenly went from giving loads of resistance to very little resistance. This happened a couple of times very shortly after when it felt like I was putting more strain on the pedals. I rode home verrrryyyyy slowly and it didn't give me any further problems until I got to a hill and I got the same thing, putting more power than usual on the pedals. I'm not sure what caused this, I recently ordered a new rear sprocket because the current one looks very worn but it hasn't arrived yet. Would a worn rear sprocket cause this? What else might?
