My friend asked me if I could introduce her to "nice single men" so I told her that she should come to the Roebuck next week.
Is that a brief of the Trades Description Act or the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive?
There is a whole thread

Was he specifically interested in Cool Single Guys, though?
That's what I was promised, and how I discovered that Dan's a lying bastard.

Multiple breaches of the Sale of Goods Act 1979.
Section 13 - Sale by description.
Where there is a contract for the sale of goods by description, there is an implied that the goods will correspond with the description.Section 14.2
Where the seller sells goods in the course of a business, there is an implied term that the goods supplied under the contract are of satisfactory quality. Most importantly Section 14.2b
For the purposes of this Act, the quality of goods includes their state and condition and the following (among others) are in appropriate cases aspects of the quality of goods—
(a)fitness for all the purposes for which goods of the kind in question are commonly supplied,
(b)appearance and finish,
(c)freedom from minor defects,
(d)safety, and
(e)durability.Item d is probably relevant in ChainBreakers case also.
TW2 to confirm.

I would argue that every one of those points is a breach

Does she know Latin? Just say 'caveat emptor'. Absolute legal immunity in my expert legal opinion.

Wish that PUA guy hadn't been run off the forum now :( Would have loved to have witnessed his thirsty man's game.
