You have a point... However, there obviously is a section of people riding fixehs that would pay the RRP for a bike like that, but I don't know how many LFGSS users would.
City boys buying a 'cool bike' and willing to lay down that much money are probably frequenting eBay rather than here. Although, they'd probably just pop along to the shop itself.I'm being terribly judgmental here, I realise.

I'm thinking it's more along the lines of the relatively new account/low post count #deathtoinvaders lark. I sold two here with no grief.

FWIW, I saw one of these being pushed (obviously) along the pavement in Lewisham today and it looked pretty boss.
It really is a lovely green. Was it you, OP?

Hmmm... 4130 Cro Mo I love the stuff. But wait. Why would I pay more than an affinity Lo Pro Cro mo frame. Is BLB better. Nope. probably the same.
And I'll be shocked if anyone pays that price for a second hand one.So fair price you say....I say NOPE.

Not me chief, mines still wrappered in cellophane, saw one in a H&M in Notts though and was surprised how bawss it looked, maybe too much white for me, but frame colour is spot on.
Anyway, as I was saying in a few PM's, I would rather it went to someone within the fixed gear community, and as I'd lose 10% fees on ebay yous may as well have the discount, so prices dropped to £600 collected, £640 delivered, I've gone off the idea of hand delivering in London simply because I weigh in at 10 stone, and 95% of LDN could probably dust me for the bike and dolla.

£439 Squid. And that's retail markup from BLB. Its still just 4130. Which is sweet might I add. But you can't start talking huge retail numbers unless you plan on opening your own retail store for that price.

If someone wants to buy an affinity then they will
If someone wants to buy this frame, at this price, then they will
give it a rest FixedStar and let the OP get on with his sale, he's taken a fair bit of stick with a good deal of grace so far so why not let it be
-
• #36
It aint Carbon or even custom built by hand. Its mass produced, machine made, cheap from Taiwan even with Taxes but I love the stuff. But I sure as hell wouldn't pay even £400 for any Cro mo frame.

true I'll bow out and let you do your thing peace.

FixedStar, out of curiousity what do you ride?
OP, hope you get a sale but might be worth moving on with a split, im sure you will get closer to your asking price

Some 4130 Chromoly Jamis Sputnik goodness Best cromo welds available but that's the Canadian in me. Jamis is overpriced and unknown here though.
LOL With everything except for the frame changed and setup for Track now. Just waiting on a 48t 130BCD Chainring in the Mail to swap. Yay. So I will use that as my training bike and I have a Alu bike in mind for the actual Track build.
But thanks for asking.

Agreed, but still early days, I'll wait it out a while longer to see if anyone is after the entire ride.

BLB ain't so bad I've met them all over time .. If the bike was built by them it
would be spot on .. No issues with them OR the bikes they turn around ..
sound lot .. Just a bit of an issue with people that dis situations without knowing
what the deal is with something .. -

That can be arranged.
Chances are, the people who would buy it off eBay are users on this forum. Nothing wrong with trying it on here first.
