i remember the wanstead flats fires used to wander across there pretty regularly and saw large swathes blackened out and charred a few years back
it's all part of the natural cycle of life, even before we were here on earth with our disposable barbeques and nicotine sticks, nature was burning down forests and rejuvenating older woodlands
