I'd love to try my track bike out on an actual track too....

I like the barrier, it's in a line with the bikes, but I missed the space at the front by hesitating..
I'm not saying it's in the way, I'm suggesting including it in the shot to 'frame' the riders.

Ah ok, I'll have a go tbs summer

I'm in for group ride down and cheering. Might slap some drops on and have a bash too if that's allowed?
Probably won't be allowed on a Friday night as it's purely racing (need BC membership, race license etc). Jim mentioned about arranging something for a Sunday ?
Alternatively starting from Monday 18th there's a beginners fixed gear session at Aldersley in Wolvo, which I'll be riding from Moseley to (via the train) if you'd like to come. No membership needed, just pay £3ish and ride

Wagwan with this?
Also, does anyone know if there are any races that you can just turn up at and enter at Halesowen? Or do you have to pay to become a full member before you can touch the track? I checked their website but couldn't make head nor tail of it!

Hi mate..
You ant turn up and race im afraid. The best way is to come down a few times on a Thursday night, get into it and then get accredited to race on Friday. This is assuming you havent raced before. You will need a BC licence etc to race also.

Safety first innit!

That's fair enough. I assumed there would be some red tape! Varno, i'll PM you with some questions.
Also, is the ride down and cheering actually happening?

Not so much red tape just making sure that everyone that races is safe and understand the etiquette and rules of track racing etc etc..Its about all the other riders around you, so letting unexperienced track riders ride with experienced riders is a recipe for crashes etc and we do our best to avoid it.
To race in any races you need a BC licence either a full race one or a day licence.
HACC is the only privately owned track in the UK so its only "really" available to fee paying members. To get around this we (i) run a session on Thursdays which is open to all levels of riders including "newbies" and i would suggest you do a few of these to not only learn the ropes but also to get in shape to race. You can hire bikes on the night (Thurs) and then start getting into it that way.
Just come down and ask for me..easy!

Is this a open to all session regardless of club membership, or do you expect people to join HACC after a few sessions ?
