Never had a problem with them... Standard click-on master links on the other hand has failed my gruesomely in the past.

Besides £35-40 for a chain that will easily last you 2-3 years isn't bad really, or is that just me?

£8 for a chain that lasts 2yrs is better.

Safest bet is to remove the quick link completely.
