I actually got the very same gas mask bag as pictured, will see how I can hack it into a saddlebag.

quite easy. Clip it to your saddle rails with the buckle and to frame with the rope. Probably should make something stronger like velcro strap for the lower part, as it has a loop there.
the size is quite ideal for summer, something like extra shirt or 6 beers

Love this, although not strictly hhsb. On a personal note I'd swap out the bars just for more hand positions but it looks a lot of fast fun to ride
