You look surprisingly well, all things considered. Did you manage to walk to the podium? I seem to remember that Wilko was a bit shakey when we saw him a couple of years ago.
It's a pity this event clashed with the Tour finish - there was no room anywhere in the media for anything cycling except the TdF. I'm inclined to think that it might be possible now (cycling being the flavour of the moment) to get the papers interested in the 24, but it would have to be on a different weekend when it could have a clear run.
I finished, was a bit shaky getting off the bike so sat down for a few minutes and then rode the 3 or so miles back to the HQ. I wasn't too bad walking until the next day when everything had tightened up.
I think I was much more coherent this year than the ESCA event when you spoke to me afterwards and I don't remember any of it. We had dinner at a pub Sunday night and the three of us were actually pretty chirpy compared to last year, nodding off into our steaks.
