  • Carrera REYNOLDS 708, sticker missing from seattube due to recent respray. Was fitted with Specialized armadillo red sidewall tyres

Was stolen this friday from Liverpool, Rice lane. Someone took it in his blue van and drove away.

  • a 'specialized' cable lock.

Sorry to hear about the bike :(
And you probably already realise, but if you didn't, cable locks are almost useless in terms of locking up your bike.

Definitely worth getting a D lock in future and a cable lock as well to help lock front wheel/saddle whatever. Using two types of locks also forces the thief to use two types of tool to remove them, slowing them down in the process or deterring them.

  • Stolen from inside a (supposedly) locked space this morning next to London Fields.

Sorry to hear about this. It's always worth pointing out that communal bike parking is generally pretty vulnerable. It can be that there is no good management régime in which somebody controls who gets keys etc., or, in many new developments, that parking is poorly-positioned, bikes visible from the street, etc.

  • My bike was stolen last night outside the LBK shop in Hackney.

Oh no, Jenni. That's just terrible. Is nothing sacred? :(

  • wise words Visalius...

will defo go that way in the future....need to scrape together pennies for a new bike now.... ;-(

  • Kona Paddy Wagon 2011 (black) - Stolen in Abingdon (near Oxford) roughly two weeks ago.

I was storing this bike in my mums house, the garden shed to be precise. She left the shed unlocked one day and some cheeky c*nt theived it. It's well used, completely standard other than some cheap lights.

  • Is this market on every Sunday in a specific location or just random spots? Also...sorry about your Brooklyn.

    yep unfortunately every sunday:

  • Oh no, Jenni. That's just terrible. Is nothing sacred? :(

    Apparently not :(

Went to Brick Lane and 9 Elms markets this morning before work, but no dice. Will keep checking Gumtree and Ebay... any other tips are welcome.
