Ahh, checked the other thread. Heal up soon.

And then again when I removed a large scab using my front wheel.
I still don't understand how you did that.
I own a cap, but it remains within a pentagram drawn with blood as it's the only way to be safe.

The massive, deeply engrained scab was just below my knee. I had a bit of a polo collision and as I was coming off and the bike was still moving, my knee hit the still spinning wheel, this removed the scab quite quickly and painfully from beneath my kneepads and a woefully too small plaster. Thankfully I pre-empted the need for pain relief and had taken a drink or six. There is now a deep, nasty, open wound upon my poor leg.

"take up polo," they say, "it'll improve your bike handling skills," they say, "and it'll be fun too"
-
• #2181
Ha, the knee injuries were originally caused by BMXing and miscellaneous drunk falling. TBH I shouldn't have been playing injured but I like it so did anyway.
-
• #2182
Well, it was the cap that caused them really.

• #2183
Wore my cap. Broke a spoke.
-
• #2184
begs the question, following all the warnings on this thread why did you wear it?

• #2185
Mine was OG, first printing. Thought the curse was a feature of the later runs.
Nope.

Tried looking through this, but yeh, couldn't find the name of the factory that made the new caps? Anyone able to help?
-
• #2187
Yeah, I'd quite like another similar one, mine's fading from near constant use.

It's a secret. And the real question is; parli Italiano?

I have a few spare, not enough to put on the shop (may it rest in peace).
Thinking of giving them away to the first n investors on Seedrs in a couple of week's time.
There won't be enough for every investor, just the first 23 or 24 (not actually sure the number of caps I have left).

not that I need a new cap myself but given the caps are a forum thing it seems poor form to be giving the last few only to people with enough money to invest in something that while related isn't technically 'lfgss'.
why not sell them at the track day so actively social forumengers can get one if they want. I know plenty of people who go to beers and rides who would kill for one still. might even encourage people to head down and boost the numbers.

Pizza?
Not a word, but loved the cap I have, and as my work is looking at making a cap, thought I would try and get them from the same place. Sure someone in the office (or google translate) can sort out communication with the Italians!

Apis are the italian cap manufacturers - downside is that it's a minimum of 150 pieces per order and, being Italian, the factory has shut for a month. I've never ahd any probs dealing with them, there is an english speaking rep there.
If you want a shorter run then try walz caps [they are good quality but quite a bit more spendy and you're likely to get hit with customs charges as well]

I'm not in London when the track day is on, and I thought about giving them to LFGSS bods who invest as an extra way to say thank you given that LFGSS is moving to Microcosm. And the cost of running the online store was such that there was no sense continuing to pay for the store when all it would do is suck up any last chunk of revenue that could be made selling the last few caps.

I'll sell you one for the price of an average PL player. £20m ?
