up or down?

Yes there is.
But surely not to a rival? Maybe to Real or PSG for that price but to another premiership team you need to add on at least another 10I doubt he'll go somewhere domestically, if Real stump up the cash he'll go but they're looking around 25 and they can >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Dicki said Suarez for 60, and unless he was going to one of the clubs I mentioned the price wouldn't be that high... that was my point
Torres was wanted by Abramovich and there was no clause unlike Suarez's contract
less said about Carroll's fee the better
Gotchya.

Yes there is.
But surely not to a rival? Maybe to Real or PSG for that price but to another premiership team you need to add on at least another 10PSG - just signed Cavani
Madrid - maybe, although I'm still not sure they are in for a striker since Ancellotti took over.
Suarez isn't worth anything more than 30m - because of the issues he brings and the fact the teams that could afford more have largely already bought.
bayerm -Lewy
Barca -Neymar
Monaco - Falcao
PSG - Cavani
Man City - Jovetic/negredo
Napoli - ?
Athletico Madrid - Villa (they made fuck all from Falcao)
Juve - Llorente/tevezSo who else is looking for a striker with the money - Chelsea and Arsenal.
I think it would be mad to not accept a bid of around 30m for a player - in fact I think Liverpool messed up in not selling him earlier and using their money on some of he better value players - Gomez, Mkhitaryan, Villa. Sell Suarez, bring in Kroos and Soldado. job done.

Way I see it, Suarez is a CL quality player, while we're not in europe we are limited in whole will sign for us.. So replacing him is tricky at present, Henrikh is a prime example, he chose a CL club
Our best bets are players that have signed for the big CL clubs but haven't quite made the first team... like Coutinho for example. or younger players.
Have to take a few chances and build a team that hopefully can get us close

Close to Everton or 4th?

He has little to no say in his final destination because of a deal he agreed to years ago while he was still in South America.
That part is a little unfair. He played for River Plate who are famously trapped in the same kind of bind that Atletico are in regards to debts and third-party ownership of their players. Given the fact that he very nearly didn't make it to Europe (he was about 23 when he signed for Porto, which is ancient by Argentinian football standards and had endured a string of injuries IIRC) who could blame him for saddling up with these guys? In fact, given River Plate's difficulties I'd wager he was under third-party ownership long before Porto were on the scene.

My point was mainly that Atletico (Jaw) won't have all that much disposable cash, despite the hefty transfer fee of Falcao, so we shouldn't expect much from them.
That article is I think written from the perspective of a fan of some team and not 100% immpartial but I do think it is a good, well constructed explanation of third party ownership/the Falcao saga...

PSG beat Barca to Marquinhos for 35m euro.
With Sakho, no longer being captain or it seems near the first team, I wonder what will become of him...

Interesting take on the Falcao saga, was not aware of Atletico defaulting on the payments etc. That transfer sums pretty much up all that is wrong in football.
If you read the FC Porto financial statements and start digging you'll be surprised at the number of third party players on the books and how they're trying to increase the ownership of those players over the duration of their contracts.

After I read that SR article a while back it struck me that there are many similarities to Arsenal but that the main advantage that Porto have is their ability to bring in South American/African players much more easily.
Whereas Arsenal often have to use feeder clubs/loan systems before players will be viable for a work permit.
The difference being I think that Arsenal would like to keep hold of many of the top players but because they have not challenged for honours enough players wish to leave for that reason - Porto players are bought as much for potential re-sale value and also the stepping stone aspect.
Thanks for reminding me of the Ramble, I hadn't read the last 3/4 articles! (must spread after Cisse lolz)

Rooney's going to PSG.
Mr Potato head wants out and Moyes won't sell him to a "rival" club. Spain won't come up with the money so he's off to the current kings of spunking.
Don't put your house on it, but it might be worth a few quid.

Brendan tells the Arse that Suarez won't be going anywhere for less than £55million.
Do one Arsenal. Go and buy some promising French or African teenagers with your money>>>>>>
If he were to leave it would be a backwards move for him all for the sake of playing 6 CL games a year. Great
