"Chris Froome attacked early on but he ran out of energy halfway up the second ascent of Alpe d'Huez and I think he has been suffering at the end of this climb. He sent Richie Porte back to the car to get an energy bar because it is illegal to get food from your team car in the closing kilometres and he knew he could be docked some time if he did it himself."
