For Sale: Super Record

Hello folk,

I have a 52cm MBK Super Record for sale that's recently been acquired from a family member.

It's barely had any use over the last 20 years or so and as such is in great condition.

Brief spec:

*52cm Columbus steel frame
*3ttt components
*Sachs drivetrain
*Mavic CP4 rims laced to sealed Sachs hubs

It just needs a good clean and some air in the tyres to bring it to life.

Offers welcomed.

It is not just Columbus steel tubing....it Columbus SL...you should mention it as it is a significant selling point.....detailed measurements? Seat tube and top tube....rear spacing? 120mm or 126mm? How man speed...6 or 7? Friction or indexed?....Dings and dents in the frame?..Rust?.....Condition of the tubs?...Wheels true or need truing? Apart from price...What about postage?.....Have you got a box for it yet?.....etc etc.

Pumping up the tyres and cleaning the cobwebs off the rear wheel might be a good idea too

Agree with the helpful advice above. You're in the right place with a bike like that – has the potential to be a decent build on a nice frame – but you need to put in a bit of elbow grease first.

Spend an hour or two working on it: cleaning, degreasing, moving the levers, checking for damage etc. etc. Then put up some more detailed pictures and info and you'll have no problem getting a fair price for that (which you also need to decide).
