• I just grabbed a coffee and saw it listed on their Big Screen Racing poster so I assumed so...

  • Look Mum No Hands! – where hipsters and City workers come together to debate the benefits of the fixie-bike

  • "Cadence (Crystal Palace)

Serving south London’s cycling community for years..." has it really been there for years?

  • at least 1 years

Fairly sure it opened around the time I moved to Forest Hill, so around March last year.

  • Yeah, that's what I thought too. Not as established as the article makes it sound is all.

  • Aren't the ones they've listed all of London's cycling cafés, as opposed to the 'top five'? Or are there more I don't know about? I don't object to them making it appear as if there are more cycling cafés than there really are, of course. :)

Obviously, there's Café St Germain, but does that count as a 'pure' cycling café? Ditto for other cafés that probably serve a lot of cyclists, like Richmond Park?

Ask mrs_socks. She worked there when it opened.

  • And I was in there helping out before it did :)

  • Cyclocrema in Barnes gives you a free extra shot if you have fixed rear wheel. Fact.

  • New LMNH now open in Hackney, at the junction of Westgate Street, King Edward's Road and Mare Street. I popped in just now, looks good. Much bigger than Old Street. Curiously enough, the whole building has been renamed 'The Trampery', which I imagine certain forumites will take as an invitation for something. It's all very new, workshop hasn't been set up yet and they're not licensed yet, but that will happen soon. Anyway, it's great that they've opened there!

  • Trampery is a network of co-working spaces that host start-ups

  • Aha, didn't know that.

  • We're having opening drinks on Thursday from 7pm. Would be good to see people who follow this thread there. I won't be starting a separate thread / shouting about it though as we're limited by numbers and don't want to screw our license app.

  • Is the new LMNH open on the 20th eve for Dun runners?

  • Unfortunately not. Licensing needs sorting. Next year....

  • Shame! But still recall a good breakfast milkshake in the way back a few years ago

  • LMNH Y U no has rim tape :-( Walked all the way from Gt Portland St pushing a rather poorly bike only for major disappointment

  • y u no fitzrovia bicycles?

  • ^ this!

  • or electrical tape

  • or Condor

  • or Cycle Lab

  • Or use the folded cover of a Razzle like we once had to on a London to Paris ride.
