  • Dunno if this place is the right one, but if anyone's clued up on ebay rules, please enlighten me.

Bought an Airport Extreme off ebay the other day, the ad content was just 'Original box missing', nothing more. As the seller had 100% rating, I thought why not. Won the auction, and received it in a bit of a state. Some spilled stuff on there and a cheap replacement power lead. The spills I could wipe off, but wrong lead isn't cool.

Been in touch with the seller, and after a fair amount of emails he agreed to a full refund. I sent it back recorded at the post office £7.99 to make sure he received it properly.

Got my refund for the item + postage, but not my return postage. Been reading up on ebay rules, but they seem quite vague. Should I pay return postage or not? I don't think I should as I didn't receive the actual item he claimed it was.

    Edit: here's the listing: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=231005202067

Contacted the seller, suggested he refund me for return postage and we can leave it with positive feedback for both of us. Got this back

"That's not a problem, go ahead and leave a negative feedback. I will do same."

Sigh. I can't really be bothered, but at the same time I'm £8 down and I can't really see what he can base negative feedback on.
