I'd be happy enough to do that distance in that time on the road, let alone on a technical trail :-/

Amazing stuff. And makes me feel pathetic for saying I will never get faster:
Talking about age draws a laugh as she gestures at her surroundings. “People around here are all 10 years younger than they actually are. And I don’t mean they just look it; they are actually 10 years younger,” she said. “Everyone’s out there constantly doing stuff, from biking to skiing to hiking. There’s a collective mentality that if you don’t use it, you’ll lose it.”

I think these women stepping up and trying something they've not done before are just as 'super cool' as the professionals.

Loved that photo, especially the woman with the red top in the back, it look like the other were encouraging her.

It looks easy, but actually a big deal for riders who are not confident in close quarters.

When I started riding mtb a couple of years ago I was sticking mainly to gravel fire roads and had just fought my way to the top of a rather big and steep hill. I stopped to catch my breath, have some water and admire the view and my effort when I saw this woman coming up the same hill, on a cargo bike kinda similar to the attached photo, with two kids dressed as pirates all shouting and jumping up and down in the cargo box. She had one hand on the handlebar and the other on a leash to a big german shepherd pulling straight to the left.
When she got to the top I say "Whoa, nice effort" to which she smiled and replied with a "Thank you" without even sounding a little bit out of breath.
Forget about those Tour de France riders going up mount Tourmalet or whatever, let's see them ride with an unruly german shepherd on a leash and a bunch of exited kids jumping all over the place - that woman had them all beat for sure!

Are Breeze Ride leaders still unpaid compared to Sky Ride leaders who get paid a decent hourly wage?

So good to see Maryam being acknowledged for everything she does to encourage cycling. She was an amazing volunteer Dove bike rider in the Olympics opening ceremony too!
