    to clarify, there's two seperate issues?

    1. the width of the cog preventing the lockring engaging on all of the thread.
    2. the coating on the EAI cogs make the threading tight.

    The coating causes both things, I think is what they're saying. Although Surly cogs are also rather wide, I think. I heard that somewhere else. I had no problems with my EAI Superstar on a DA-7710 hub, where lots of people have had issues fitting standard EAIs, and the only difference is the coating AFAIK.
