I think the consensus on Bony is that he has scored a lot of goals but it is very hard to say 'yes, he's a top player'. On paper he should do well, but based on what people seem to make of him he could be quite a gamble.
I think he had a trial at lfc a few years back and didn't make the cut
Make of that what you will

re Bony. Have not seen too much of him but at least he's got a consistent scoring record and hasn't been a one season wonder. He's been scouted extensively by quite a few clubs. I'd give Laudrup the benefit of the doubt on this one.

I'd say if he gets 15 and Swansea finish the season higher than they did last season than they'll have a valuable asset on their hands.

why englands young players lose?
because they don't get enough first team experience.(chalfie, don't get too excited, but this article contains figures and charts)

Are they investing the money in a new treatment room?

There's another reason for it. In countries like Spain and Germany a lot of the top tier clubs have their 2nd team represented in the lower divisions (2nd tier in Spain 3rd tier in Germany) there they get valuable experience week in week out whilst getting used to playing in a style similar to the first team and getting used to competitive matches.
IIRC Chelsea wanted to enter the football league with their reserves but the football league opposed the move. Considering the amount of teams that are going out of business this seems unproductive. Ho hum.
