I saw the programme that was made about the scottish chap that is the current round the world record holder and it looked intense. He did a minimum of 100 miles a day for 3 months with only a few days, and they were taken up flying to different continents.
He had his bike held for ransom by the Pakistani police who were supposed to be escorting him through Waziristan, got taken out by an old lady in America who's son turned out to work in a bike shop, and almost lost his mind in the Australian outback after not seeing anyone or speaking for weeks.
Having said that it did looking absolutely amazing.
