Compared to Sunday's 100, today's Midland's Cat and Fiddle 200 was much more pleasant. I think mainly because it wasn't so hot, and I wasn't carrying a bag on my back. It seemed a very small affair, with only 9 riders, the first 100km was a delight, even if the hills were a struggle. But the Peaks were fantastic, even with the cloudy weather.
The next 50km was a complete drain and I struggled to get up the hills, and could barely start again if I stopped midwa; I just ended up grumping, sitting on a wall, eating a loaf of soreen.
The rest was a slow, but pleasant return to Wolvehampton. Would definitely go again.
