  • GarageBand doesn't have aux/bus sends, does it? That makes things a bit more pro in Logic - assigning several channel strips to one bus, e.g., all the drums to one, bass to another, layered guitars to another... so you can adjust volume (and apply effects) for a whole section as one. You can also end up with several groups within one 'instrument', i.e., a couple of cymbal patterns on a different bus to the other drums. With electronic music you'd also quite often have the bass/kick drum on its own send so you can sync sidechain compression to it on other tracks.

    Mixing / EQ / compression = massive can of worms. :D
