Thought about putting flyers at Falmouth uni Todd?

I have a bunch of my old photography and design chums from Falmouth that I'll ask to spread the word for ya Toddy...

Thanks guys.
I'm gaging interest now but the main aim is to find a court(s) and a few initial people.
Once I have a court I'll begin with a flyer and hit up the university, bike shops and cool spots and see what happens.
If I only there was something next to the beach...Once I have a court to call home you'll all be invited for a late summer exhibition tourney hopefully. Reckon I could tie it in with a Finisterre sample sale and some Flat Cap beer sponsorship. Loads of campsites too!

That would be cool. Are they used a lot? Gonna check them out this weekend.

We had a Falmouth guy come and play a few games of polo with us in Birmingham - his name was Tom. He was at the uni doing photography I think.

Hi Todd,
I have just started a club in Plymouth! Due to our relative close proximity and virginity to the scene it could be beneficial to begin a relationship between our clubs. Some friendly rivalry maybe? We are very small currently and have not yet managed to organised anything. I have made contact with the council and some local cycle shops/cafés in Plymouth trying to drum up some support/interest so hopefully things will start to kick off soon...
It may be a bit premature, but sometime down the line it could be good to start a South West mini-league and perhaps invite Bristol, Portsmouth etc.?

Nice! Do you have a Facebook page or place where you organise games?

This sounds great Alex!
Plymouth isn't so far so I might even be able to get over for a good days polo one weekend. Let me know when you'll have a good turnout and I'll drive over.
Regarding the mini-league, that could be great.
I need to get the ball rolling here first... -

cornwall polo retreat soon!?

This is the best court I've found.
It's 10 mins from my house and 15 mins from the beach.
It's part of a sports centre but there's no charge to use it.
I've seen a bit of basketball but it hardly gets used hence the container.
I'm in contact with the head of sports development from the centre and he's VERY excited about bike polo and seems willing to help get it going. I've told him the container must go and that a few things need sorting to get the court into good shape.
Surface is good and there's a short wall around 3/4 of it. The other side is a corrugated iron building. Needs boards adding to the gate too and a few holes filling but that's it!I'll be putting out some posters once the court is sorted and hopefully there will be interest. It could really work out over here!
Also planning a retreat so stay tuned. Camping, beers, polo and the beach!

Looks like it's got good potential. Hopefully they'll give you some budget to play with Todd. Nice work.

And pasties!!!
Oh boy, the pasties. The golden crumbly pastry and heavenly fillings. They are both my best friend and worst enemy.

Perhaps not by then but I'm on it for sure!

I'm gonna start the ball rolling here.
The time is now Kernow!
Let's get this going.
Falmouth has a lot of cool stuff going on but I see no polo.
It's way too much fun to let it pass you by!
I'm looking to get a few people together and get some games going.
I have mallets so you just need a bike.
It doesn't matter what bike either though a low gear is desirable.
This thread can be the main source for all things polo related in Falmouth and Cornwall.
If anyone is interested or has some advice please let it be known.
We're gonna need players and some decent courts. Know of anywhere?
The rest will follow in good time.
PM me for further details and let yourself be known on here too.
Cornwall reprezent.
