    It's pretty smart, actually.

    Basically just makes all rides public (unless you select to be private) and then when you're finished it uploads your data and ranks you against the segments you've ridden on any given ride. It also then gives you PBs for the segments you've ridden more than once and you can get King/Queen of the Mountain if you're the fastest at a given segment.

    You can also make your own segments by selecting a chunk from a past route and marking it off. It then becomes public and anyone can compete.

    Round these parts most segments are fairly short (junction/traffic light to junction/traffic light sprints and climbs) until you get out of the city, then it's the roadies' territory...

    Only thing that's slightly annoying is that your Premium Rush-style fixeh skidder traffic racing sprints are mostly in vain as the app won't show leaderboards for sections they consider to be 'dangerous'... :(
