Is the precursa safe for us 'broad-shouldered' people? I'm just under 90kg and I'm thinking of getting one.
Also, I'm 6'1 and riding a large Charge Plug that I find too small for me, showing a fair bit of seatpost with the saddle rails as far back as they can go and a 120mm stem. I was thinking a 58 possibly?

Probably a 58 for you, I'm sure you'll have no problems at that weight.

Im 6'2 with 100 kg and 58cm precursa was just perfect for me.

Cheers lads, gonna order it Friday. Any idea on how long it takes in general to get a frame from the website? I think the FAQ section's never been updated and always says they're in a 'busy period'.

For the track champ up there: Zipp stem + seatpost. Done.

New summer cockpit on my Track Champion. Needs cutting down a tiny bit more, slightly too wide but so comfortable.

I got mine in 3 days.

A former TC owner at the velodrome this morning warned me about the seatpost clamp design flaw, which I had already read about through here. At that point we both noticed the hairline crack through the top part of the clamp area.
Fucking shit bike, crap design. Mine will hopefully hold for a while unless I overtighten it. But still, I'm really disappointed by it.
That's disappointing... I was considering this as my next bike (I'd prefer a steel bike, but everything else about the TC was right for me, geometry, components, price)...
Is it a common problem with Dolan bikes? Or just the TC in particular?
Also, this might be a question for another thread, but how different is the ride on Alu compared to Steel? Am I going to hate it if I use it as a commuter/beater on weekdays (3-4 miles), and track on weekends?

Very common I beleive but just with the TC. I think there's a Fuji with a very similar seat clamp design that suffers very similar levels of failure.

It's a cheap bike either way, someone that won't hurt your wallet when you crash badly on the track.

This guy I know had a Leader 725 with a very similar seatpost camping arrangement, which also failed. It's not just the TC, this design is flawed. The Pre Cursa doesn't have it.

Imo the difference frame material makes is overrated. The ride of my Leader 721 is closer to my 531 steel conversion then to my Giant TCR Track. Geometry and tube profiles and stuff are much more important than frame material. Avoid alu aero forks though.

you make a bike less boring by riding it faster.
its fine as it is. maybe the chainring/chain.to black. a black ring without the cutouts.

I ride it daily, and I love it. It's just that I don't have any projects right now. Thought thinking about some nice road bike.

how muchtyre clearence action forks have? Where can I get them? Only tokyo fixed or used on the forum?
Aesthetically all I would change would be a longer stem and a smarter seatpost. Maybe matching/no valve caps if you want to be really pedantic.
But it looks really good at the minute.
