Car appreciation... the aesthetics, the engineering, etc

Any common reason why my electric window might only be going down a few inches? Not on the rails properly or something?

motor sounds fine for the few inches which makes me think it isn't that

Is the motor still trying to work? - could be worn or broken teeth?
If the motor stops then it could be dodgy wiring, perhaps worn insulation, grounding out the current. Or something electrical or mechanical triggering the stop switch.
