One for Nurse Holiday, however from my distant memories you will sign a waiver stating that "shit happens", and that the circuit, organisers and so on are in no way liable for anything, at all, ever.
I would imagine that this waiver will also have provisions for liability if you T-bone a 250 GTO in the pitlane, but that's worth checking- I imagine the organisers/circuit would send you a copy ahead of time which your dad could forward to his solicitors?
Finally your insurance will not cover you, track driving is a specific exclusion- that's why track specific insurance exists.
