Seriously, why shouldn't that be possible... Mashing up hill with a 60-70 RPM cadence and descending at 130-140 RPM leaves you with a wide variety of feasible gear ratios, presuming for the sake of argument we're talking a relatively short and steep hill and not a full blown mountain.
