You could go to Kinoko if you're in Soho.

This happened to me not long ago, I popped into Tokyo Fixed (now Kinoko) and they fixed the problem pretty swiftly

From tyre just blew out on Oxford street as I was going from Wardour Street to Newman Street. Heard a really loud hiss/bang that sounded like glass smashing. Looked around as if to say "wtf?" and then looked at my tyre. Gutted. Could've been worse. Just glad it happened outside work and not on a roundabout or something.
Anyone know of any decent bike shops in Central?
Was this the same one that you were having trouble with on sunday? surprised you didn't get a new inner tube before that! glad you're okay.

Different tyre! Went to Evans on my lunch break and got a new tube. Gave the tyre a look, seemed fine. Pumped it all up and the tube is bulging out of the side a little. Having to get a new tyre after work. Agh.

Collided with a led at very slow speed on Oxford street today.
I knew it was gonna happen sooner or later so I was riding very slow, he just walked out from in front of a bus when my front wheel was already there, he kicked it while seemingly looking at the sky! -

Brakeless clipless trackstanding. All good. However watch out for those road inconsistencies when standing. Almost lost it on a pot hole again. Trackstanding and plop tyre drops in and sticks. Gave it just enough force and swivelled out but I nearly went over.
Today's oh shit moment was coming back from regents towards LeicesterSquare turned down Berwick street decided to DAWS into the turn and whipped it out last minute but came up too fast towards the curb. Mis- timed the curb edge popped a wheelie too late and luckily my left foot unclipped that second when the front wheel hit. Didn't fall just stood on my left foot while holding the semi bronco flipped frame. A white van driver said that was close. A little too close for comfort.
Lesson learned DAWS Short and sharp when cornering cause that baby will slide faster when leaning.

Worst "oh shit moment" I've had in a long long time today. Riding brakeless down a fairly decent hill, strava reckons I was doing 46mph (seems about right) when I hit a fucking massive pothole, I have no idea how I stayed on but my chain didn't..... I'd been playing around with my gearing and obviously hasn't tightened the chain enough. I haven't had it happen since I first started riding fixed and had no idea what I was doing (obviously evidence that I still don't). I assumed it would be a repeat of when my chain came off years ago and I'd get a nice mouthful of tarmac and a nice trip to A+E but luckily the chain just dragged along the ground rather than getting jammed in the rear wheel and I rolled to a stop well over half a mile down the road. So stupid and I have nobody to blame but myself for what could have been a really dangerous situation. I know it was completely preventable but it's made me seriously reconsider whether or not I should be riding brakeless.

Glad you are ok. Think a brake might be a good idea now? What would you have done if someone had been crossing the road? You realise if is not just yourself you put at risk?
-
• #2949
Yeah I know, I think a brake might be in order. The area I'm riding at the moment is literally the arse end of nowhere so the chances of someone crossing the road are incredibly slim but even just being selfish and thinking about purely myself it might not be a bad idea!

Luckiest cyclist of the month award.
There's about a million (give or take) bike shops in central London.
Not sure what you define as good, but if all you need is a new tyre Evans on Mortimer St is probably as well stocked as anywhere. If you prefer taking your business to an independent, Fitzrovia Cycles on New Cavendish St sounds pretty close to where you are.
