SE london is rubbish for bikeshops. Seriously.
Just because you want a single-speed wheel, I would suggest you go to somewhere in town before heading south-east. If you're coming through King's Cross down to London Bridge for Blackheath, you could try Condor, they should have half-decent wheels ready built. About ten mins walk from King's X. Ring them to check mind.
Or just wait for the forum to provide ... by keeping the conversation going til someone who can help sees it.

Which train station do you get in to tomorrow?
This is London. Of course you'll get it sorted!

cycle surgery 2 mins walk up from kings cross , if not there then micycle , islington , further 10 mins away, condor grays inn road , mosquito , essex road the list is endless but are you going to kings cross ?

If it's King's Cross you could walk over to Condor's: http://www.condorcycles.com/contact

do a stock check on the website and it'll tell you which shops have them in store. put in london and then keep clicking more stores if you can't see any in the list. there's a few stores who have them.
or you could try lookmumnohands cafe on old street they have a load of wheels above the counter

BUT if it has to be a shop nearer Blackheath, I would suggest this shop:
Vaidas Cycles, 74!Honour Oak Park, SE23Call them up First Thing, ask very nicely if they have, or can build you today a good strong singlespeed 700 wheel. They sometimes may sound a bit slow to respond but they are cool guys (owner Vaidas is a track rider, Lithianian I think) who won't fuck you up with stupid crap. It could be a bit of a mission for you to find it, where are you staying?
There is a shop nearer, imaginatively named The Bike Shop on Lee Green Road, I wouldn't hold out much hope for them having parts ready. Also Comptons cycles in Catford, not sure what they're like mind, might have what you need.

So: in short, if you're going straight to SE London, Vaidas is your first choice, 2 miles from Blackheath. I could even help you somehow if it's all ready to collect by 2pm, I live about halfway between Blackheath & Vaidas.
If you're coming by train, go to Condor.

If you're at Condor and no joy, also try Full City, very close by.

+2 for Vaidas. Real nice guys and I've always found them quick and fairly cheap.
Hello all,
I urgently call on assistance from anyone who can let me know where I can get hold of a single speed rear wheel in london that will fit a specialized langster.
I live in York but I travel down to London tomorrow AM and I have damaged my rear wheel and unable to sort it up here in time.
I am riding in the London2Paris24 on Saturday starting at Bkackheath and anyone with any local knowledge of a supplier on that area would be a life saver as no one in this neck of the woods seems to stock track wheels.
If anyone can help that would be great.
Cheers
Yorkie
